This symposium aims to gather the various PMMSN chapters around the Philippines, whose members include officials of government institutions, stakeholders of coastal communities, and those from the medical and academic institutions, industry and non-government agencies, in order to share experiences about marine mammals strandings in the country, and to advance a One World Health view and recognition of marine mammals as valuable sentinels of ocean and human health. This symposium is also a celebration of PMMSN’s 10th year of awesome existence.
Objectives of the Symposium:
- Share knowledge and experiences in marine mammal stranding activities from all over the Philippines.
- Discuss relevant data and issues on marine mammal strandings in the country, in recognition of marine mammals and their strandings as valuable sentinels of ocean and human health.
- Expand the network and identify key issues and concerns related to the network and its functions, particularly rehabilitation and medical management aspects.

Regular registration – Php 3,500.00

- Hands-on training with dolphins on Emergency First Response and Handling & Transport (for those who have completed a regional workshop but has not had hands-on activities with dolphins)
